Pumpkin is a type of squash that belongs to the gourd family, Cucurbitaceae. It is typically round, with smooth, ribbed skin, and comes in a variety of colors, though orange is the most common. Pumpkins are widely cultivated for their seeds, flesh, and use in various foods like pies, soups, and decorations, especially during harvest festivals such as Halloween.
During a visit to a charming autumn festival, our designer wandered through rows of vibrant pumpkin patches, each one more beautiful and bountiful than the last. The rich golden hues and the sense of abundance all around made her reflect on the spirit of harvest—of hard work, patience, and the joy of reaping the rewards. She marveled at the pumpkins, which not only symbolize the harvest season but also represent growth, transformation, and the warmth of family gatherings during festive times.
This moment sparked an idea: to create a hairpin that would capture the essence of harvest, abundance, and warmth. Inspired by the pumpkin’s round shape and rich color, our designer crafted a piece that celebrates the beauty of the season and the joy of reaping what we sow.
